An old-fashioned, fruit and herbal infused vinegar with history.
Shrubs originated as a method of preservation, before the days of refrigeration. Vinegar was poured over fruits, roots, and herbs, to begin the process. In times of phyical distress, the infused vinegar was then strained off, and consumed for its medicinal content.
In a modern twist, Shrubs were also sweetened and then sipped or added to beverages, for their flavorful and beneficial properties.
My Elderberry Fairy begins our Shrubs (aka. Drinking Vinegars) with all organic ingredients, and Raw, Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar, for added health benefits and digestive support. We then infuse our Elderflower Lavender Shrubs with Elderflowers, Lavender flowers, and whole Lemons. Finally we cold press for potency, and sweeten with pure raw cane sugar for the perfect balance of tart, tangy, and delicious!
For an easy herbal, probiotic and electrolyte infused mocktail:
Add 1/2 fl ounce Elderflower Lavender Shrub per 6 to 8 fl ounces of still or sparkling water.
